FAQ's
What is Rapid Health?
Rapid Health is a new online facility that allows patients to access our services and book appointments without needing to phone the practice. Patients will be guided through a series of questions about their problem. Based on their responses, they will be offered appointment options with the most appropriate clinician(s), within an appropriate timeframe that reflects their clinical need. This approach is designed to support “getting it right first time” — ensuring patients are seen by the right member of the team for their concern, as quickly as possible. It is expected to:
- Reduce waiting times, particularly for more urgent medical issues
- Help minimise the 8am rush and long telephone wait times
- Improve overall patient flow and experience
The platform will also allow patients to:
- Submit administrative requests (e.g. fit notes, letters, and other queries)
- Access trusted self-care information for a wide range of symptoms and conditions
When can I use Rapid Health?
From mid-September 2026, Rapid Health will be available during our core opening hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 6.30pm (excluding bank holidays).
How do I submit a request?
You can access Rapid Health through our website.
Complete the questionnaire and submit your request. Depending on your needs, you may receive advice, be directed to another service, have your request reviewed by a clinician, or be offered an appointment where clinically appropriate.
If you cannot access the internet, please contact the surgery and a member of staff can complete the questionnaire on your behalf.
