Amazing staff and doctors
Just to let you that the staff and doctors looked after me and my family when my wife had 10 years of cancer treatment and sorry to say that my wife passed away, but the reception girls were amazing and kind to me and my kids, and the doctors always made time for us, thank you girls and for the hug too. Please remember that they work hard to make our life easier. Dave

It's a lot better than a lot seem to find
I've read some reviews and would like to counter a few of the points made, and add my thoughts to the pot! There are certainly problems - I find calling the surgery is not easy as there are clogged lines, long waits and the earliest slots are a long way ahead - but if you need emergency care there seems a solid system in place. I went in with a problem that seemed to need doctor (as opposed to paramedic / nurse) attention, and was correctly triaged by the receptionist. I was asked to write down my problem (no need to blurt it out in public) and was able to see someone straight away at the morning drop-in clinic. Whether or not their new system will work as well, I can't comment. The doctor recommended a course of action that seemed a little more than I expected, but turned out to be wise. I had further visits and found the doctors good-natured, honest, professional and approachable. They answered my concerns and provided me with the technical information I was interested in finding out about. They arranged further external appointments and I felt the majority of the process was joined-up and reasonable. That said, I know that on some mornings the drop-in clinic is very full (on the most recent occasion it wasn't at all) and that it's tough to get what you want, when you want, if it's not an emergency. Having lived in a very different area, where deprivation made the local health services get extra support, I've seen how things can be better, but that requires a significant financial input to provide greater services. However, communication and ease of access can certainly be improved in some areas!

Great friendly practice
Easy to get appointment I phoned the practice last Friday 4pm to book an appointment as soon as possible and was given one two hours later with the clinical pharmacist, who sorted me out and gave me a prescription, give these guys a break they are really trying hard to help us patients. Try booking a late Friday appointment it was really easy :)

Easy to book an appointment online
I was told by a friend who is a patient as this surgery to try booking an appointment online, I did and it was so easy, booked on the Tuesday to see my GP on Wednesday, so simple and far easier than telephoning. There are plenty of appointments available on line. You need to get a letter with a password from the receptionists do register for online services first. The staff are always friendly and helpful and services great. They also have a physio clinic where you are seen on the same day! Cracking pratice - well done !!
