Farewell from Dr Charley

After 9 years at Northgate Medical Practice, I am stepping down from partnership from the 5th August 2022. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working here since taking over Dr Simon Ellis’ patient list in April 2013.
I will be saying goodbye to my patients I see or speak to on the phone before then. Of course, I will not be able to contact all my registered patients personally before I go. So please accept this as a huge thank you to my patients and indeed to all patients registered with my colleagues, for your tolerance and forbearance. It has been and continues to remain, a challenging time for us all as we strive to recover from the impact of Covid since March 2020.
Thank you to the amazing staff team at NMP from cleaners to managers, clinical colleagues, and care navigators. Without your solidarity and support what we have achieved would not have been possible.
I want to say a special thanks to all my patients. You have taught me so much. You’ve allowed me to journey with you through the highs and the lows of your life experiences. I can truly say it has been a humbling and privileged experience. I know this to be true not only for me personally but also for the many learners I have supervised over the past 9 years.
I know that I am leaving your care in very capable and trusted hands. You will be allocated to a new named GP and informed by the practice very soon. I am confident that together you and the team at NMP will continue to live out the collective values enshrined in the constitution of our great National Health Service.

Stay well. Stay healthy.  Stay safe.

Best wishes

Andy Charley
